Join the Great Big School Clean 2022!
No One is Too Small to Make a Big Difference!
At Keep Britain Tidy, we believe that no one is too small to make a big difference.
And when we all come together, that big difference becomes a huge one.
If every child who attended school in the UK pledged to pick up just one bag of litter during the Great Big School Clean, we could remove 10.3 million bags of litter from our natural environment.
The 2022 Great Big School Clean takes place 25 March – 10 April.
This year the message is simple. From today, you can pledge on behalf of your school to pick up one bag – or more – and join our #BigBagChallenge. Because one bags makes a big difference!
Let us know how many pupils will take part and how many bags they pledge to collect by clicking the pledge button below. We welcome nurseries to join us too! You can start picking up any time from now until the end of term – and we will even count litter picked up during school holidays, up to the 10th April 2022.
Competition Time!
This year, every school or nursery who pledge to take part in the #GBSchoolClean will be invited to join author and eco-journalist Sarah Roberts reading her brand new book, Somebody Crunched Colin, on Friday 25 March.
Schools will also go in to a prize draw to win prizes – from goody bags of the books for primary schools, to a talk on environmental issues for secondary schools. Learn more about our Great Big School Clean competition with Sarah Roberts by clicking the button below!
Once you’ve made your pledge, you’ll receive a digital pack of resources for teachers, by e-mail, to help you activate the campaign in your school.
