School Grounds #EcoSchoolsAtHome
Spring is in full bloom, perfect for this week’s new #EcoSchoolsAtHome topic resource School Grounds… or should that be Home Grounds? No matter where you are, you will still be able to take part in all of our eco-actions – we have something for everyone whether your garden is the size of a football pitch or simply a sunny windowsill. There are lots of things you can do to bring the outdoors indoors and brighten up your day with some green fun. We also have a few additional tasks this week that everyone (parents included) can get involved in and a special task to design your perfect Eco-Schools garden to take back and share with your Eco-Committee.
Did you know bees make a ‘quacking’ noise? Find out more with a virtual reality task created by our friends at Living Connections. We are asking you to look at nature from a totally new perspective whilst listening to a slug munch on its lunch!
As always – share with us on social media (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook) any of the task you carry out, and please keep sharing all your gardening hints and tips.

Finally, a huge thank you to all the young people and staff still in school who have been looking after their school grounds and making sure all the plants are happy and healthy for when everyone returns. It’s been lovely to see lots of new people getting involved in the programme, its looks like Eco-Committees across the country will have lots of new recruits when they return to school!
Have a great week everyone,
Lee, Karyn, Francis and Shona
