Hippo Water Saving Competition Results
Eco-Schools and Hippo the Water Saver are delighted to announce the winners of our recent water saving poster competition.
We received over 300 entries and were really impressed with the creativity and variety of designs sent to us.
With so many fantastic posters sent in, it was very difficult to choose a winner. After much deliberation, the panel chose Tabitha Burraway, age 10, from Wimbledon High School's Junior Department. Tabiltha's entry can be viewed in our Competition Gallery.
Lewis Scott from Hippo the Water Saver said: "We liked Tabitha's design because it is simple, colourful and captures the positivity of the Hippo message. It is a real feel-good design."
Tabitha's design will be printed on to 50,000 Hippo Water Saving devices and Wimbledon High School will receive a Hippo Water Saver for every loo in the school, plus one for every pupil to take home.
Paul Adshead Hippo’s MD added: “Receiving the competition entries really made my day. We were so delighted with the quality of the designs, some from pupils as young as 5, that we’re going to try to put as many as we can on our website so everyone can share in the students’ eco-commitment – so keep an eye out because yours could be there”.
Even if you were not a winner, running a whole-school water saving poster competition will count towards your Eco-Schools project work on the water theme and will assist with getting to bronze, silver and Green Flag.
A big thank you to everyone who entered. It was wonderful to see the hard work and creativity going on in all our Eco-Schools.
